I Got the Fever
Christmas Fever that is. I have been dying to put my tree up for weeks now and so, I finally did it. I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I just tell people, "On Thanksgiving we can be thankful for Christmas." Right??? I must admit though, I am a little embarrassed, I try not to open my blinds so people won't see how ridiculous I am. So we just enjoy our Christmas decorations in private. I just love the Christmas season, and it always seems to go by way too fast. I can't wait until everyone gets their stuff put up and we can go drive around every night looking at Christmas lights. I love this time of year. The only thing that could make it better is some SNOW!Friday, November 13, 2009

Pigs do fly....and they "flu" past our house
Yes, I believe we have the swine flu. Can I just say this has been the worst week of my life (physically and health wise). So, you get to hear me vent. Last Tuesday, I woke up and literally could not move my head off the pillow. Any tiny movement I made sent this shooting pain through my entire body. Trevor was at work, so I had to call my little sister and tell her the baby was awake and I couldn't go get him cuz I couldn't move. She came to my house and took care of me (poor girl) until Trevor got here cause I called his work and told him I needed some serious help. Apparently I have a bulging disc in my neck and I've heard of it but never imagined it could be so painful. I have been in full blown labor pushing a baby out and the pain was pretty comparable to that. Everytime I tried to move or even when I didn't there is was, making me scream and cry. It was intense. So I had just started feeling better from that on Sunday and Keyton had a fever that morning. It got worse throughout the day and by the end of the day I had one too. After going through aches, chills, cold sweats, my chest feeling like it is about to explode, losing my voice, coughing up a lung, an ear infection and a sinus infection... today is the first day I am feeling semi human. However, I am still coughing and raspy so I'm not sure this is over yet. Keyton had it for about 3 days and Seth has had an ear infection and is now losing his voice. Lets just say, it's been a long week at this house. Please pigs skip our house next time!Saturday, October 10, 2009

Having Fun
Seth at the parade
Keyton during fireworks. (He had to wear his "mufflers" because they were too loud.)
Seth during the fireworks (are you seeing a pattern here?)
Watching Dad fly away at the airport. After the plane left the ground, then came the tears.
Things have been busy, but that's what keeps us going. I just have to say how grateful I am for a husband who is willing to serve our country and loves doing it. We love him for it and will definitely miss him while he is gone.

Piece of Quiet
Although I am getting a little tired of a big belly and swollen ankles, I'm not really sure I'm ready to have a baby either. Which is harder?? I'm not sure.

Happy Mothers Day
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried..
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much...
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay..
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom .
May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace of God rather than by the cares of life
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there.

Picture Tag
Okay, so the actual picture I found was of Keyton running around the backyard chasing his girl cousins butt naked. I decided that was not an appropriate one to post so I had to go to my next folder. This is what Keyton likes to do when we are riding in the car. He will look at magazines all the way to Grandmas' houses. I think it's so cute. So here's what you do:
1. Go to your documents/pictures
4. Post it and blog it
5. Tag six people to do the same
6. Name your picture
