Our Army Man

Here are a few pictures of Trevor while he was at A.T. He is sitting next to the rounds they shoot out of their tank. Trevor loves to go to A.T. because it's the only time he gets to bic his head and grow out his mustache. I won't let him do those things at home. Yuck! While he was there, they made some small mistake while loading the tank and misfired and shot out of the designated area. Luckily no one got hurt, but I think they got in some trouble. It happened on Father's day so Trevor said his Father's Day wasn't that great. Anyway, we are glad to have him home and are ready to start our summer fun!

Missing Trevor

I know I have done alot of posts this week, but I have been very bored. Trevor left for his Annual Training for the Army last week, and he won't be home until next week. Needless to say, me and Keyton are kind of feeling a bit lonely. The other night when Keyton was saying his prayers he asked if he could "please hold daddy" it about made me cry. Keyton has also been playing Army guys "like Dad". So, we are dedicating this post to Daddy. Thank you for being such a good Dad, Husband, and Best Friend. We love you and miss you, but think it's awsome how willing you are to serve your country. We can't wait to see you when you get home. My little Firefighter

The Fire Department in Pocatello had an open house and we decided to let Keyton go check it out. He got a fire tatoo, balloon, hat and a bag full of other goodies. The kids got to try on little turnouts, shoot the water hose, ride in the bucket truck, and put a fire out with an extinguisher. Keyton was too little to ride in the bucket, but he thought the rest of it was great. He had to shoot the water hose by himself of course and it was pretty wild. The firefighter was laughing at him. Keyton loves fire trucks, in fact he had to have a firetruck birthday cake. We are lucky because Grandpa Steve will always take him to the fire station when we go to Bear Lake and it makes Keyton's day. That and going to the farm with Nic but that's an entire different post.

Keyton's First Fishing Trip

This all began months before Easter. Keyton somehow got the idea in his head that he wanted a Scooby Doo fishing pole for Easter. He kept telling us and telling us just to make sure it really happened. He was sooo excited when he saw it Easter morning. However, he was pretty upset when we told him it was just for fishing and not to play around the house with. So we kept telling him that we would go fishing when it got warmer. Well, Trevor's dad (Grandpa Reddish) loves fishing and has been wanting to take Keyton up to the pond in Soda for a while. The first time they planned it, they got snowed out. And, as you can see, this trip wasn't much better. It was so cold, and at one point it started hailing on us. But they did catch 2 or 3 pretty good sized fish. Keyton was so excited to go but once he saw what fishing was and that a flopping fish was stuck to his fishing pole, he was less than impressed. You can see in the middle picture he was terrified of the fish. PRICELESS. But, just like him, after it was all said and done he said he had fun and told everyone he caught a huge fish.
